School Disclosures

Welcome to GJCTC
Celebrating 40 Years of HIRE Education

Welcome to Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center, an organization dedicated to meeting the career and workforce development needs of adults, high school students, and industries in the Greater Johnstown area and beyond. We are proud to offer educational alternatives to our community, allowing adults and secondary education students the opportunity to work toward a common goal: success in school and beyond. We are located in the Laurel Mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania and are proud to serve Johnstown and its surrounding area.

Please get to know our school and all we have to offer. Our adult education programs provide GED and career support, so graduates are more marketable in the workforce. High school students can help prepare for their future career—before they even receive their high school diploma. And our industry programs allow area businesses to train their current and future employees, giving them one less thing to worry about.

Check out our Career in A Year

What Makes Us Unique

Our school is unique. Not only are we a public school serving high school students from nearby feeder schools, but we also offer tuition- and fee-based programs for adults and area businesses. We train the workforce in a wide variety of fields, including equipment operation, health and safety, industrial maintenance, and many other areas. We also help adults get on the right track with GED preparation and short-term professional development classes. Our Career in a Year program provides adult-only and intergenerational programs to prepare high school students and adults for careers like cosmetology, practical nursing, law enforcement, electrical technology, and many more. Explore our website and find a program for you.
